Dr. Alec Couros’ presentation was great. It sure paints the picture of what we can expect in the near future. The information networks are definitely a great help to new teachers.
The “bubble blowing” and the “free hugs” are great examples of how some one can be creative and present their ideas to a large number of viewers. I am seriously considering displaying my artwork.
We also must be very careful of what we display on the web because we don’t want wrong information getting to the wrong hands.

Hey Durga,
ReplyDeleteI agree that sites like YouTube should be used by students to show off their creativity. I think that teachers need to embrace what YouTube provides for us and try and incorporate it into the classroom. Alec gave some excellent examples of how there are a lot of neat videos on YouTube that could be used in the classroom.
You are definitely right that we need to monitor what we put on the internet. One word "FACEBOOK"!
Later!

Hey Durga,
ReplyDeleteYou should post your artwork in a public forum! What a great way to get your talent seen!!
The bubble blowing and free hugs are just some of millions of YouTube videos out there that get millions of hits just from one simple basic concept. It's funny how the smallest ideas can make the biggest impacts!
Keep fit and have fun!
