Dr. Alec Couros’ presentation

Dr. Alec Couros’ presentation was great. It sure paints the picture of what we can expect in the near future. The information networks are definitely a great help to new teachers.

The “bubble blowing” and the “free hugs” are great examples of how some one can be creative and present their ideas to a large number of viewers. I am seriously considering displaying my artwork.

We also must be very careful of what we display on the web because we don’t want wrong information getting to the wrong hands.

Sir Ken Robinson’s speech

ttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iG9CE55wbtYSir Ken Robinson’s speech

I would say his speech is very entertaining. He certainly makes you look in a different way at education. He says that the schools are discouraging creativity. Fortunately some schools have taken steps to do some thing about it by changing the curriculum which encourages creatively. I hope it will continue in that direction. He says to encourage creativity and acknowledge multiple types of intelligence.
